November 30, 2000 - SDS Awarded Contract to Support Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory

SDS International was recently awarded an additional contract by the Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory (NAMRL), Pensacola, Florida to support ongoing research using SDS’s LiteFlite‘ re-configurable flight simulator components as the primary tool to conduct spatial orientation research and to help recreate accident scenes. This latest contract will provide additional functionalities needed to support effective research.

 

SDS International’s Advanced Technologies Division in Orlando, Florida will be responsible for the project. SDS has partnered on several related, on-going research efforts using LiteFlite‘ integrated with Distributed Mission Training (DMT) architecture to create a framework for the direct exchange of data and scenarios between research organizations, training, and test communities.


April 14, 2000 - SDS Awarded R&D Contract to Support Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory

SDS International has been awarded a contract by the Naval Aerospace Medical Research Laboratory (NAMRL), Pensacola, Florida to support ongoing research. SDS’s LiteFlite‘ re-configurable flight simulator, configured with an instructor operator station (IOS), After Action Review tools, custom visual database(s) of accident scene(s), and performance measure customizations, will be used as the primary tool to conduct spatial orientation research and to help recreate accident scenes. LiteFlite‘ will also support integrated utilization of Virtual Reality (head tracking and Helmet Mounted Displays), eye-tracking, and automated physiological measurement.
