Hardware System Configuration

Desktop Simulators – In this approach, LiteFliteŽ is configured into a multiple machine network.  One machine runs the LiteFlite application including heads-down-displays (instruments, gauges, multi-function displays, etc) and one or more PC-IG systems are used to generate real-time out-the-window (OTW) visuals.  The Desktop system provides maximum flexibility and performance at a relatively low cost.  Extra PC-IG channels may be easily added and removed based on training or research requirements.

Single Machine Laptop or Desktop/Monitor – Any contemporary laptop/desktop equipped with NVIDIAŽ display adapter technology can run LiteFliteŽ.  The portability of a laptop configuration expands the range of applications where users can leverage LiteFliteŽ capabilities/portability while preserving solid performance.

Cockpit – The richest training experience is typically found when LiteFliteŽ is integrated into a simulated cockpit.  This configuration enhances the realism experienced by a trainee and can include any number of PC-IG OTW channels providing varying Fields-of-View (FOV) including a full 360 dome configuration.
